Minnesota State junior Makayla Jackson won the women's 60-meter dash title in 7.20 seconds at the NCAA Division 2 Indoor Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Jackson also finished second in the long jump with a leap of 20-1.50 (6.13m), in addition to placing ninth in the 200 meters in 24.10 and contributing to another ninth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:47.92. Minnesota State was second overall with 51 points, edged by Adams State with 52 points for the women's team championship.
