Lexi Hurst, a senior at Minnesota State University in Mankato, won the women's shot put title with a fifth-round effort of 53-10.50 (16.41m) at the NCAA Division 2 Championships in Pueblo, Colo. Hurst became the first female athlete for the Mavericks to secure the outdoor shot put crown. Hurst also finished eighth in the discus throw final with an opening-round mark of 156-6 (47.71m).
